For the rest of time, the shapely DeLorean DMC-12 will be remembered best as the 88-mph time-traveling supercar from 1985’s Back to the Future. It catapulted Marty McFly back in time to 1955, and lay a set of flaming tire tracks in the process. [...]

The Nissan Fairlady 240Z was the successor to the Fairlady Z. It was designed for rally driving with a closed, fastback, coupe body and debuted back in 1969. Although Nissan designed it specifically for rally events, the car was added to the domestic lineup in the US as the 240Z in 1971. The car came out of the gate with a win at the 19th Safari Rally in April of 1971 driven by E. Hermann and H. S [...]

Google street view captures all sorts of unexpected things. These things are sometimes embarrassing, but what one camera car captured in Japan is amazing and a little sad. The car snapped pictures of dozens of European cars sitting in an abandoned showroom and falling prey to the elements in the lot outside. [...]

Jonathan Ward and the crazy kooks at ICON build some of the best 4x4s around. But lately, they’ve turned their attention to a new Derelict line of vehicles. What they do is take an old car, give it a full resto-mod from top to bottom, but leave the patina on the exterior completely untouched. It’s a really cool concept. [...]

Some tales of old cars are best left under old covers collecting dust like an old shop desk. They’re forgotten and eventually fall out of the automotive timeline that has countless memorable stops along the way. Cars designed by Bertone don’t usually meet that disheartening fate, especially one based on a Ferrari that changed the course of Italian automobiles. [...]

The Isetta started out as an Italian car in the early 1950s, but by 1955 made its way to Germany, where BMW took it as its own. They redesigned the car had a 1-cylinder, four-stroke, 247 cc motorcycle engine that generated a whopping 13 horsepower. Though it looked pretty much the same as its Italian kin, the car was so completely re-engineered by BMW that none of the parts were interchangeable. [...]
