1957 Chevrolet Pickup Task Force Series Apparel and Accessories by Legend Lines
Chevrolet's groundbreaking, all-new 'Task Force' line of trucks was introduced in mid-1955. Chevy's new-for-1955 Task Force pickups were very attractive: The new styling featured a car-like grille, an elegant new body style with its new "wrap-around" windshield—a truck industry first - optional wrap-around rear window on Deluxe cabs. They were larger and more powerful, and they were also stronger and heavier duty in nature. The application of Jet Age styling to a pickup was groundbreaking, and served to influence truck designs for the rest of the decade. Little changes were made during the first three years. In1955 the one-piece emblem is mounted below horizontal line on fender. in 1956: Wider hood emblem. Two-piece fender emblems are mounted above horizontal fender line. Last year for egg crate grille. 1957: Only year for more open grille. Hood is flatter with two spears on top, similar to the 1957 Bel Air. Fender emblems are still above fender line, but are now oval-shaped, as opposed to previous versions in script.
