1982 Ford Mustang 5.0 Hatchback Apparel and Accessories by Legend Lines
1982 was a big year for the Mustang as it saw the return of the 302 cubic-inch (5.0-liter) V8. Buyers could purchase the high-output 302 with four-speed manual overdrive transmission which had last been offered in 1979. The 1982 302 V8 featured a two-barrel carburetor, larger-diameter exhaust system, and low-restriction air cleaner with dual inlets. The line-up for the 1982 Mustang included the L, GL, and GLX. A GT option was also available and replaced the former Cobra option. The Mustang GTs rode on P185/75R14 blackwall steel-belted radials on cast-aluminum wheels, had dual black remote mirrors, built-in fog lamps, and a handling suspension. Body style features included a three-slot grille, color-keyed rear spoiler, body-color cowl grille, and body-colored front fascia. On the liftgate was the 'GT' identification. Equipment included a Traction-Lok differential, power steering, power brakes, and a console with a digital clock and diagnostic warning module. Buyers could also purchase the optional TR performance package which would enhance the Mustangs handling qualities.
