Oldsmobile Cutlass 4-4-2 Second Generation 1968 - 1972 Apparel and Accessories by Legend Lines
The second generation of Oldsmobile 442 was introduced for the 1968 model year. From 1968 until 1971, the 442 was its own model instead of being a performance package. As a model, the 442 was offered as a coupe or convertible, and was fitted with a 6.6L or 7.5L V8 engine. One of the most notable variants was the W30, a special performance package that has become synonymous with the top of the line 442. Production of the second generation 442 lasted until 1972, when the Third Generation Oldsmobile 442 was introduced. It's at the same time that Oldsmobile introduced the Hurst/Olds option which added special handling package, various luxury options, and a special 455 cubic-inch V8. Jack 'Don' Watson was asked to design and build a special 'executive hot rod' by George Hurst, president of Hurst-Campbell Inc. Hurst agreed impressed with Waton's creation, and when it was shown to Oldsmobile dealers, the requests soon followed.
