1960 Oldsmobile 98 Apparel and Accessories by Legend Lines

“Oldsmobile”Corporate literature of the era described the new Oldsmobile cars as being radiantly styled for the rocketing sixties, and highly regarded as being balanced and fresh with lean contours, a shapely grille, and elegant overall proportions. While most American vehicles wore flamboyant tailfins, the Oldsmobile rear fender deck area protruded outward instead of upward. The 126.3-inch platform of the Ninety-Eight carried a four-door sedan, a two-door hardtop, a four-door hardtop, and a convertible body style. The two-door hardtop body style was known as the 'Holiday SceniCoupe' and the four-door version was known as the 'Holiday SportSedan.' The interiors were luxurious yet sporty with numerous amenities and fine materials. The Ninety-Eight came standard with a Jetaway Hydra-Matic transmission, power brakes, power steering, Safety-vee steering wheel, turn signals, padded dash, courtesy lamps, wheel trim rings, Star-lite headliner, chrome roof side moldings, windshield washers, deep twist carpeting, and an electric clock. Several different color options were offered.
