1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass S Apparel and Accessories by Legend Lines
The Cutlass was Oldsmobile's intermediate level vehicle for 1970, and the two-door Cutlass models were given a shorter wheelbase which measured 112 inches. With GM tossing out the 400 cubic-inch limit for intermediates and the 4-4-2 now coming standard with the 455 cubic-inch Rocket V8, Olds discontinued the 400 engine entirely and also offered the 455 as an option in the Cutlass S models and the Vista Cruiser wagons. Cutlass S coupes with the optional Strato bucket seats and Turbo Hydra-matic could be equipped with the Hurst Dual-Gate shifter (also known as the "His and Her-Shifter") in conjunction with the extra-cost center console. The Hurst Dual-Gate made it possible to either put the transmission in Drive, and let the transmission decide when to shift. Or it could be placed in a manual mode, much like today's computer-controlled automatics
