Toyota BJ40 FJ40 Land Cruiser 4x4 Top Off 1960 - 1984 - 2001 T-Shirt for Men
The Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser was developed in the early-1950s and was based on the Willys M38 Jeep. The short-wheelbase Toyota was rigid and durable and made considerable inroads into the Jeep market in the United States in the 1960s and 1970s. Considered to be one of the most unforgettable off-road SUV's of all time, the Toyota Land Cruiser BJ40 FJ40 was part of the Landcruiser 40 series. Introduced in 1960, the BJ40 FJ40 was available in a variety of versions through 1984. Toyota then re-focused its attention to the rest of the world in the 1980s. The barebones BJ40 FJ40 was built in Brazil as the Bandeirante, in Venezuela as the Macho, and Australia still offers the updated 70 series for their rugged terrain. The final FJ40s were imported to the United States in 1983, after being replaced by the Land Cruiser SUV. Today the FJ 40 is incredibly popular as a restore model thanks to its basic design.
