Messerschmitt was a famous German aircraft manufacturing corporation named after its chief designer Willy Messerschmitt. Known primarily for its WWII fighter aircraft, the company survived in the post-war era, undergoing a number of changes. The company was not allowed to produce aircraft anymore and one alternative the company came up with was the three-wheeled motorcycle/bubble car or Kabinenroller (cabinscooter) KR175 / KR200, designed by an aircraft engineer, Fritz Fend. The little three wheelers was produced until 1966. The “cabin scooter” or “bubble car” was immediately identifiable for its distinctive bubble canopy. One of the smallest to enter the Legend.
